Commissioner Harps On Improved Working Condition For Planning Officers

Ministries, Department and Agencies in Kwara State have been charged to ensure conducive working environment for Planning Officers within their MDAs to enhance officers productivity and efficiency in the discharge of their duties.

The call was made by Honourable Commissioner for Planning and Economic Development, Hajia Jamilah Bake Adamu during her visit to all MDA’s in the State to ascertain the working condition of Planning Officers as well as intimate MDAs leadership on the new Budget process.

Hon Bake in her remark stated that Planning directorate is one of the most important nucleus of MDA’s as such the backbone of any Ministry adding that for the planning officers to deliver on their mandate, to project future plans of the Ministry and to prepare realistic budget such officers must be provided conducive atmosphere and working equipment to deliver appropriately.

She further stated that Budget defense by MDAs would no longer take more than 30 minutes as directed by Nigeria Governors Forum NGF noting that MDAs must have done delight work on there Budget proposals for seamless approval by the Central Budget Committee.

Mrs Bake added that the current administration under the leadership of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq have prioritized the capacity building of civil servants as he graciously approved training for Planning Officers to improve their productivity and efficiency in the discharge of their duties.

Meanwhile, the leadership of MDAs especially Commissioners in various ministries lauded the move by the Hon. Commissioner and the Magt team to visit MDAs in order to ascertain the working condition of it staff which will improve their motivation to deliver on their duties.

They described the move by the Magt team of the Ministry as ‘first of it kind’ which they said should be emulated by the leadership of other MDAs to motivate and ensure better performance of their staffers in other MDAs to move the State to a greater heights.
