The crowded football pitch of Crown Hill University went up in a roar as Opeyemi Football Club, Ogele beat Fardoskay Football club five-four on penalties to lift the keenly contested Shabram Football tournament trophy.
The final of the second edition of Shabram Football competition ended goalless after an impressive performance from players and beautiful saves from the goalkeepers on both sides. Fadoskay, however, missed the last of their penalties to the delight of defending champions, Opeyemi FC who remained unbeaten as the tourney came to an end.
The Shabram Football tournament reached a crescendo on Saturday night as Opeyemi Football Club, Ogele beat Fardoskay Football club 5-4 on penalties to lift the keenly contested tournament trophy.

Fadoskay, however, missed the last of their five penalties to the delight of defending champions, Opeyemi FC who remained unbeaten as the tourney came to an end.
Sponsor of the nineteen team tournament and CEO, Shabram Integrated Farms, Engineer Abdulgafar Bukola Tijani said the football competition was part of his resolve to keep engaging the youths and inculcating positive mindsets in them.
While congratulating the winners, Tijani said the second edition was stretched beyond Eyenkorin, Asa community and assured that the next tournament would be extended to all local government areas of Kwara.
Champions, Opeyemi Fc received a cash award of one hundred thousand naira, second-placed Fadoskay were given fifty thousand naira, while the third place winner, Future stars got twenty-five thousand naira.
Other participating teams also received cash awards, jersey and certificates of participation, from the sponsor.
Layiwola Omoba of Opeyemi FC received cash reward of ten thousand naira as the highest goal scorer while Ibrahim of Fadsokay Fc won the Most Valuable Player award.
Dignitaries who graced the occasion include Aare Ogele, Ishola Aare; Baale of Eyenkorin, Alhaji Waheed; technical director of the kwara football academy, Coach Sam Elijah; Veteran sports Journalist, Mr Bayo Issa among others.
