The Kwara State police command has confirmed that one person was killed and another person declared missing in an attack by suspected kidnappers in Isin Local Government Area yesterday.
The spokesman of the command, SP Okasanmi Ajayi, confirmed the incident in Ilorin today. Although reports said scores of people were kidnapped in the incident, the spokesman, however, said only one person was still missing.
Okadanmi who said policemen were deployed to the scene on Tuesday said more detail will be revealed later as investigation continues.
Royal FM senior correspondent olarotimi oshin reports that the kidnap incident occurred on Tuesday between Ijara/Isanlu roads in the local government area.
There was panic in the area as the suspected kidnappers reportedly abducted scores of people and killed one person simply identified as Mr Adeyemi who hails from Pamọ Isin.
