Olofa assures unity, as Supreme Court rules in favour

As the Supreme Court of Nigeria sitting in Abuja today affirmed the Alhaji Mufutau Gbadamosi Esuwoye as Olofa of Offa, his royal majesty Alhaji Mufutau Gbadamosi has called on offa people to join hands together for the progress of Offa , noting that his throne is committed towards ensuring unity in Offa.

Speaking on behalf of the Olafa of Offa immediately after the judgment in Abuja the Ojomu of Offa, High chief Joseph Bayo Akinola who spoke during a phone interview with our correspondent olarotimi oshin said the judgment cannot create division but rather create room for advancement.

While noting that the judgment had paved way for better understanding of the offa throne.

He explained that the olofa of Offa is committed to building on the image of Offa town and its environs.

The legal tussle in question is between the incumbent monarch, Oba Mufutau Gbadamosi and a contestant to the stool, Prince Abdulrahoof Keji. Gbadamosi is of the Anilelerin ruling house, while Keji hails from Olugbense ruling house.

It would be recalled that the Court of Appeal, Ilorin Division had earlier upturned the judgment of the lower court, saying it was the turn of the Olugbense ruling house to present the next Olofa.

The Anilelerin consequently headed to the apex court.
