NRCS Distributes Food, Non-Food Items To 100 HouseHolds in Boriya, Baruten

The Nigerian Red Cross Society on Tuesday, 28th Sept. 2021, distributed Food and Non-Food Items to 100 households affected by the 2020 Rainstorm/Flood Disasters in Boriya, Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State.

 

The 100 households were verified and slated to benefit from the Nigerian Red Cross Society, ECOWAS, Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management & Social Development Intervention for Boriya Community in Baruten Local Government Area of Kwara State.

 

Food Items distributed include bags of Rice, Beans, Maize, Millet, Vegetable Oil and Palm Oil.

 

Non Food Items include Blankets, Towels, Sleeping Mats, Detergents, Pads, etc.

 

While lauding the NRCS for the humanitarian support, the Secretary, Baruten Local Government Area, Alh. Ishaq Ibrahim Faru said the gift will go a long way to ameliorate the suffering of the people.

 

 

The National Finance and Planning Adviser, Prince Adeaga flagged-off the distribution of the food and non-food items to the 100 Households.
