NNPC boss Maikanti Baru at the presidential villa

The Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Maikanti Baru was on Friday seen at the Presidential Villa in Abuja.

It could be recalled that the NNPC GMD has been accused of corruption in a memo written by Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Ibe Kachikwu to President Muhammadu Buhari.

Kachikwu had met the President on Friday after his memo to him but had refused to speak with reporters at the end of the meeting.

According to The Punch, Baru was sighted at the Vice-President’s Wing of the Presidential Villa before he proceeded to the Office of the Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
