NJC recommends compulsory retirement of Taraba Chief Judge, 4 others to face probe panel

No fewer than 2,500 men and officers of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been deployed to various locations across Taraba State.

The deployment according to the Taraba Commandant, Yakubu Ibrahim, is to ensure a peaceful and crime-free governorship and state House of Assembly elections scheduled for tomorrow.

Speaking through the command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), Iliya Samaila, today during a media parley, the Commandant noted that apart from the sixteen councils, men and officers of the Corps have been deployed to Special Development Areas in the state.

The NSCDC boss who said the Command is fully prepared to tackle every situation before, during and after the polls, assured the people of a peaceful exercise.
