Nigeria Customs Board to promote three thousand four hundred and sixty-six officers, as Inspector-General of Police dismisses nine officers over failed strike
Nigeria Customs Service Board (NCSB) on Tuesday has reportedly approved the promotion of three thousand four hundred and sixty-six General Duty and Support Staff Officers.
The Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning and Chairman, Nigeria Customs Service Board, Hajiya Zainab Ahmed, who presided over its 54th Regular Meeting in Abuja, highlighted the importance of discipline and engendering a work ethic based on transparency.
Among Comptrollers promoted are: A. Bomoi, A. A. Anthony, B. O. Olumo, C. K. Niagwan, M. M. Tilleygyado, M. C. Ugbagu, C. D. Wada, A. Bako, A. M. Adegbite, K. I. Adesola (Mrs), N. P. Umoh, O. O. Orbih and R. C. Nwankwo.
Following an attempt to conduct an industrial strike with the Nigeria Police force, the Inspector-General (IG) of Police, Alkali Usman has reportedly dismissed nine officers by rank and file of the institution.
The dismissal order was contained in a Police signal signed by the Commissioner of Police Provost, Force Headquarters, Abuja after the conclusion of their orderly room trial for Offenses of Confidence.
The dismissed officers are Inspector Nanoll Lamak, Inspector Amos Nagurah, Sergeant Onoja Onuche, Sergeant Franklin Agughalau, and Sergeant Emmanuel Isah. Others are Sergeant Adesina Ismail; Sergeant Osoteku Ademola; Police Constable Ehighamhen Favour Ebele and Police Constable Ubong Inem.
