Neymar To Miss Manchester united Tie After Being Ruled Out For ten weeks

Neymar To Miss Manchester united Tie After Being Ruled Out For ten weeks

Paris-St-Germain forward Neymar will be out for ten weeks with a broken metatarsal, which means he will miss both legs of the club’s Champions League tie against Manchester United.

The Brazil forward suffered the injury in a two-nil French Cup victory over Strasbourg on Wednesday, the twenty-third of January. PSG travel to Old Trafford for the first leg of their last-sixteen tie on the twelfth of February, with the return on the sixth of March.

In a statement, the Ligue 1 side said they have opted for a “conservative treatment”. The French champions also said that Neymar “agreed” with the decision and “is expected to return to the field within 10 weeks”.

While Neymar will now sit out a crucial period in PSG’s season, there has also been concern back in Brazil, which will host the Copa America in June and July. An operation would have put Neymar’s participation in that tournament at risk, as well as effectively ending his club season.
