NANS, NAPTAN Laud NUC On Order To Close Universities For Elections

The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS, and parents, under the aegis of the National Parent Teacher Association of Nigeria, NAPTAN, have commended the National Universities Commission, NUC for asking universities in the country to close for the 2023 general elections.

Recall that the National Universities Commission earlier today directed that all universities in the country should go on break from February 22 to March 14, for students to partake in the coming general elections.

NAPTAN, through the National President, Alhaji Haruna Danjuma, said it would allow the students to be able to cast their votes during the general elections.

Speaking in the same vein, the Southwest Coordinator of NANS, Comrade Adejuwon Emmanuel Olatunji, told newsmen that the step was in line with the desire of the association that students be allowed to vote.
