NANS Convention Committee declares Barambu President Elect

The Convention Planning Committee of the National Association of Nigerian Students has reportedly released the list of winners of the Saturday elections of the student body.

Reports gathered say the election results went controversial on Saturday following the emergence of two factional presidents.

The controversy has finally been cleared as the committee declared Usman BARAMBU the President-elect of the association.

According to the statement, Barambu polled 292 votes to defeat his popular rival, Faruk Lawal, who polled just eight votes.

Other presidential contestants listed in the communique of the committee, released to reporters were; Jibrin IDRIS (with four votes) and Nanven HARUNA (two votes).
