Man set own house ablaze in Ilorin

A man, who resides at Lekki Face One, Eyenkorin Area in Ilorin the Kwara State capital has reportedly set his house on fire.

 

According to a statement by the Head of
Department Media and Publicity of the Kwara State Fire Service, HASSAN ADEKUNLE the terrible incident occurred on Sunday and one Mr. Kola living in the neighborhood was the one who drew the attention of the brigade.

 

Adekunle added that the said owner of the house deliberately sprayed his three bedrooms flat with petrol and then set it on fire over disagreement with his wife.

 

 

In a recent telephone conversation with RoyalFM, Adekunle confirmed the rescue of the four children and wife of the said man, adding that fire fighters were able to eliminate the fire and prevented it from escalating to other buildings in the neighbourhood.

 

 

Meanwhile, the Director of State Fire Service,
Prince Falade Olumuyiwa urged the general public to be more vigilant in their homes and offices.
