Major motor parks in Ibadan the capital of Oyo State, including two Bus Terminus at Ojoo and Challenge, were shut down, on Tuesday on the directives of Governor Seyi Makinde.
This is coming barely 24 hours after the governor announced the dissolution of the Park Management System (PMS) and the sack of Mukaila Adeyemo, aka Auxiliary, who was until his removal on Monday, the chairman of the transport management system in the state.
The parks were also manned by armed security agents, including officials of Amotekun, who disclosed to newsmen that they were acting on the directives of the governor.
Findings revealed that part of the agreement Makinde had with all the stakeholders that supported him to have a successful second term, was to curb the excesses of Auxiliary, who had turned himself into a terror, especially in Ibadan.
