Maijaama Campaign Organization Warns APC Leaders not to overheat the polity

The Maijamaa Campaign Organization, has cautioned the members and the leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Kwara state against overheating the state polity through their nefarious activities, while asking them to get schooled on the standard ways of carrying out campaigns and selling party candidates to the people without promoting violence.

In a statement by its Director General, Alhaji Umar Abdullahi Shaaba, the organization also asked the people of Kwara state to be wary of giving support in any form to the APC considering the way the party leaders have conducted their campaigns. It accused the APC of inciting the people against the government, the PDP candidates and the PDP leaders, rather than presenting their manifestoes to the people.

The group also accused the opposition of doctoring a video promoted on social media   on Saturday to create the impression that the people of the local government are not in support of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP. In the video covered at Okuta, Baruten Local government area of the state, some people and children were seen shouting ‘Ole’ as the PDP campaign team arrived the town.

In analyzing the video, the Campaign Organization said it was clear that those in the video are non-indigenes while innocent children were made to join them and chorus ‘Ole’.

It said contrary to what occurred in the video, the PDP campaign team, including PDP National Leader, Dr Bukola Saraki, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed, the PDP guber candidate, Honorable Razak Atunwa, and the Kwara North senatorial candidate, Alhaji Zakari Mohammed held a successful rally in same town.
