Kwara Workers Acknowledge Receiving Fuel Subsidy Palliative, Ask For Re-evaluation

Kwara Workers Acknowledge Receiving Fuel Subsidy Palliative, Ask For Re-evaluation

Kwara workers have acknowledged receiving the ten thousand naira monthly palliative promised by the State Government meant to ease the effect of the removal of fuel subsidy.

It would be recalled that the State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq in July approved a ten thousand naira monthly palliative to help the state workers cope with the impact of the removal of fuel subsidy.

However upon receiving payments for the first month, workers across the state have stated that the amount covers a dainty of the high expenses that have risen from the recent economic changes.

Speaking to Royal times, a teacher under the Kwara State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), said the fee does not even cover her transportation to her place of work.

In his submission, a worker under the State Ministry of Education asked for a reevaluation of the fuel subsidy removal.
