The Nigeria Police Force, Kwara Command on Monday met with the executives of the National Association Of Nigerian Students, Kwara Chapter on the need to stop the planned shut down of flight operations of the Airports in the South West zone including Ilorin International Airport.
Recall that the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS), Kwara Chapter had threatened to embark on peaceful protest and occupy the Kwara airport, if the protracted ASUU strike is not suspended.
In the meeting, the Commissioner of Police, Kwara Command, CP Paul Odama expressed his willingness to cooperate with the students at all times and expected them to reciprocate.
Royal Times reports that In his response, the president of the students union, Suleiman Yusuf Issa, promised not to do anything that could jeopardize the cordial relationship and the fragile peace existing in the state.
