Kwara police command faults Saraki’s claim

The Kwara state police command has disclosed that the Peoples Democratic Party did not report cases of assault on its members to any police station in the state.

The police in a statement signed by the Kwara state commissioner of police, Bashir Makama said Saraki’s allegations that his life and those of his supporters are in danger in the state are unsubstantiated.

The police said level playing ground has been created for all political parties adding that all security due to the Senate President was and will continue to be provided as the number three citizen of the federal republic of Nigeria.

But, the PDP in its response to the police claims said it submitted a petition titled” Attack on the lives of its members to the office of the Kwara state police commissioner. The party said the petition was signed by the party’s State Legal Adviser, O.M Aborishade(Esq).
