Kwara Hotel staff protest Unpaid salaries , poor welfare

Activities were paralysed Thursday  morning at the Kwara Hotel Ilorin as the staff locked the entrance of the hotel over what they said was an  unpaid seven months salaries and over 18 months service charges.

The staff, who trooped out in large numbers during the protest alleged that the management of Harmony Holding and the state government are not managing the hotel well.

Speaking in an interview, the protesters  said they have nothing against the state government but the staff are hungry and they desire immediate solution to their problems.

Royal Times reports that the staff, who explained that all efforts made to resolve the issues proved abortive

however called on the Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrasaq to quickly attend to their needs.

Reacting to the development, the general manager and the chief executive officer of harmony holdings Abdullahi Abdulmajeed said a memo has been raised to the state governor for salary  intervention which according to him, the governor has now approved the intervention to pay all the outstanding salaries.
