The Kwara State Fire Service succeeded in putting off a Fire outbreak at Number three Temidere Street, upper Gaa-akanbi Area in Ilorin the Kwara State capital.
According to a statement released last night by the head of department Media and Publicity, Kwara State Fire Service-Hassan ADEKUNLE, the Fire outbreak occurred on Sunday evening and was reportedly subdued by the firepower of the Fire Crews which did not allow it to spread beyond the seat of Fire.
The spokesman for the service also added that the leading officer of the crew assigned to attend to the incident revealed that they were able to limit the damage caused by the ravaging fire which was caused by a power surge to a room.
Meanwhile, the Director, Kwara State Fire, Prince Falade Olumuyiwa urged residents of the state to be more safety conscious and warned them never to leave any of their electrical devices plugin if they were not at home or in their offices.
