A former Governorship aspirant in Kwara State and Peace Ambassador, Honourable Yahaya Seriki has emphasized the need to empower talented youths in a bid to help them fulfil their innate abilities for entertainment and economic benefit of the society.
The entrepreneur stated this at the Royal Empire State fashion show held in Ilorin, the state capital, where he pledged a five hundred thousand naira fund to support young talents at the fashion show. Among them was singer, Modesola Suliat, popularly known as Liya who performed at the event tagged Walk on Water Africa Fashion Show 2019.
Yahaya Seriki, well known for his philanthropic gestures, lauded the performers for putting their talents to use, urging them to keep it up until they reach the peak.
While noting that the fund is to aid the pursuit of their career, the philanthropist also stressed the need to promote the entertainment industry further. He also commended the organisers for the initiative, the first of its kind.
The epoch making event which held at the Kwara Hotels attracted dignitaries from all sectors to include Abdulfatai Yahaya, Mr & Mrs Adekanye (Ceo His Grace International), and the Kwara State Police Public Relation Officer, DSP Ajayi Okasanmi.
According to the CEO of the Entertainment, Yusuf Ismail Abiodun popularly called Empire Lion said walk On Water Africa Fashion Show 2019 is an event that aimed at creating an operational platform for upcoming and established fashion designers, Models, Make-up Artists, Photographers and individuals all over Nigeria
Empire lion said that the event provides the perfect platform for creative individuals especially youths to display and promote their talent
In his words,“WOW Africa Fashion Show is aims to be recognized as helping hand to launch the careers of numerous up-and –coming creative individuals, hence the event presents an opportunity for a series of fashion shows and creative performances where the best innovative and cutting edge individuals are selected to showcase their talents to hundreds of visitors from across Nigeria”.
He added the event will build on brand message expressed in the communication plan, and emphasize the core attribute of creativity, fun and style.
Ismahil also indicated his interest to create a powerful marketing, branding and sales platform for Africa/Nigeria participating companies and partners inside and outside Africa saying that media, influential bloggers and key celebrities who are representative of the brand ideals will attend this event.
He further said the show tagged walk on water fashion show is the first of its kind in Africa, He said models and designers practically walk on water to display what they have.
“The name itself is a unique name which explains it all cause its a fashion and Entertainment event which the models will be walking on water” he said.
