The Kwara House of Assembly has directed its Committees on Public Accounts and Finance to carry out an assesement of 2016 Kwara budget to determine its level of performance and implementation.
The directive was sequel to a motion raised by the House Leader, Hassan Oyeleke on the review of 2016 budget implementation.
Oyeleke while moving the motion which enjoyed the support of all Members noted that it was the constitutional duty of the House to review the budget through oversight function
He said the measure was aimed to ascertaining the level of the budget implementation and performance before the presentation of a supplementary budget or next fiscal year budget.
