After a long silence, the All Progressive Congress, APC, Kwara State chapter today broke its silence with an acknowledgement that the party has gone through very tough times but maintains its gaze on the priceless task of liberating Kwara from the grip of selfish politicians.
But in a statement issued on Friday by the state party chairman, Honourable Bashir Bolarinwa, the APC said it takes pride in its ability to weather the storm despite its nascent age, after the ouster of those it called intruders and the ability to embark on major party tasks to include membership registration, party harmonization, installation of party executives at all levels executive and organization of party primaries.
While noting that the journey has not been without its challenges, the Bolarinwa-led Kwara APC said it has learnt its lessons in the process, and that members are willing to sacrifice their pains for the interest of the party and the people of Kwara who have shown them massive support and acceptability at large.
The party chairman lauded its members for displaying high level of commitment, dedication and readiness in the mission to liberate Kwara. It also commended President Muhammadu Buhari and the National Chairman, Comrade Adams Oshiomhole for the role played in ensuring that the wrangling within the party is resolved.
While congratulating the APC Governorship candidate, Alhaji Abdulraham Abdulrasaq and other candidates in the state on their emergence, the party said they must continue to bear in mind their major task of ending mal-administration, incompetency and high handedness in the corridors of power.
