Kogi Assembly member Jimoh Omiata is dead

The member representing Yagba in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Honorable Jimoh Omiata, is dead.

Omiata, who hailed from Igbagun community in Yagba East Local Government of the state, was a two-term member of the Kogi State House of Assembly.

It was gathered that the deceased is the first person to ever win election twice to the House from the council area.

A nephew who confirmed his death to newsmen today said the lawmaker died in Lagos while recuperating from an undisclosed illness he had been battling for a while.
