Kennedy Boboye has quit his role as head coach of Nigeria Professional Football League outfit, Plateau United following the expiration of his contract. Boboye spent two-seasons with the Jos club leading them to win a first NPFL title last term.
Plateau United however failed to make an impact this season losing their title to Lobi Stars and exit the Aiteo Federation Cup in the round of 16. They also failed to make it to the group stages of the CAF Champions League, exiting the competition in the first round.
Boboye previously had stints with Sunshine Stars Football Club of Akure and Abia Warriors.
In a statement issued today, Boboye said it is really a great feeling to have worked with such big team like Plateau United. He also appreciated the technical director, coach Ahmed Ibrahim ros, the General Manager Mr Pius as well as all the players for the wonderful support given to him all through his stay with Plateau United.
