The State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps, Kwara State, Mrs Francisca Olaleye, today, admonishes the outgoing Corps members to keep the flag of the scheme flying, even after their service year.
This is part of the farewell message delivered on Thursday , at all the 16 Local Government Areas of kwara state, during the Passing Out ceremony for the 2021 Batch C, Stream 2 Corps members. Olaleye expressed appreciation to the government and the good people of Kwara State for their priceless supports to the NYSC scheme. She singled out the recent approval of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazak, to execute the perimeter fencing of the NYSC orientation camp, at Yikpata, Edu Local Government Area of the State.
Royal Times reports that in Kwara state, a total number of 1,710 Corps members, who diligently served their fatherland collected their Certificate of National Service,15 of the Batch who absconded from the national service are to repeat the service year, whenever they made themselves available again. However ,two of the outgoing Corps members, lost their lives while on national service ,4 members of the out-going Batch , who violated various sections of the NYSC Bye-Laws are to have their service year extended for some specified days.
