Judgment Fund: Presidency Explains Decision To Approve Funds Before Handover

The Presidency, on Wednesday, explained that President Muhammadu Buhari gave the nod for last-minute funds a few days away to handover to the administration of Bola Tinubu because the government needs funds to clear debts.

Speaking on Channels TV program, Politics Today and monitored by RoyalFM News, the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina said the government made the decision to repay debt.

Recall that president Buhari had earlier on Wednesday written to the Senate, seeking approval for a request to pay the judgement debt in the sum of over five hundred million dollars.
