Journalists urge to venture into solution journalism

Journalists in Nigeria have been urged to pay more attention to report how people try to solve problems in their communities and what can be learnt from their successes or failures.

This was the submission of Usman Aliu ,a journalist and 2022 Fellow, Solutions Journalism Africa Initaitive at a Training on Solutions Journalism for some Journalist in Kwara state .

According to Aliyu , Solutions journalism investigates and explains, in a critical and clear-eyed way, how people try to solve widely shared problems focusing  on what the news misses most often.

Another Journalist and resource person at the Solutions Journalism training ,Lawrence Afolabi  who said though solution journalism is new Nigerian Journalist said solution journalist  represents the nature of the things that will resolve the Overall Story Problem.

The training held the press centre of the Nigeria Union Journalist ,Kwara state had in attendance journalist from different media organization in Kwara state .
