Large quantity of Iron Ore was on Tuesday discovered in Bendeghe-Afi in Ikom Local Government Area of Cross River state.
The Cross River State Ministry of Solid Minerals and the Chinese Team on Solid Minerals Mapping across the state, Tuesday discovered huge deposits of Iron Ore in Bendeghe-Afi, Ikom LGA.
According to Solomon Inok, on getting to the site after about three hours Biking and trekking from the main Village through a virgin forest which canopy created a dark interior to an amazing site was all covered with magnet-attracting stones.
“Most amazing was a trench about 10 metre deep all exposing a rock with magnetic power. This showing the massiveness of Iron Ore in the area.”
