Kwara State Ministry of Works and Transport has created a temporary detour within the Ilorin Eid Praying Ground to ease movement of motorists as government constructs a cross culvert to solve the perennial flood problem along the Irewolede (Eid) Road in the metropolis.
Royal Times reports that In a statement on Monday, Commissioner for Works and Transport Hon. Iliasu Rotimi Suleiman said the step was taken with the gracious support of the Ilorin Central Eid Committee under the chairmanship of Engineer Shagaya.
He commended the Committee for its understanding and support for the effort to ease traffic movement as the construction work gets underway, saying the gesture again underscores the maturity of the community on public issues.
