International Women’s Day: Educationist urges women to make use of technology, innovations to equip Skills.

In commemoration of this year international women day, women have been urged not to limit themselves to manual means of learning and take the advantage of technology and innovations to equip their skills as this will improve their career.

Mrs Ayobola Lawrence, facilitator, Sex Not For Single SNFS Campaign group in kwara state stated this while speaking with Royalfm correspondent today.

According to the Educationist, technology has assisted a lot of people to attain higher level of growth, noting that technology had also made learning easier and fun for children and has also helped the health sectors in analysis of symptoms and sometimes provides solutions.

Every march 8 is being earmarked by the United Nation as international women’s day, with this year’s theme” DigitALL.

In her congratulatory speech, she advises women in kwara not to limit themselves to a particular level, but should make use of every opportunity they have in order to make a positive impact in the society.

In the Same vein, International Women’s Day is a day set aside by the United Nations to raise awareness to issues affecting women such as gender equality, education, reproductive rights, violence and abuse against women, child marriage.

Kwara women have used the occasion to seek for gender equality in the country adding that women are not treated equally.

According to them this will bring a change for the assumption of men to women.

Mrs Daramola a residence of tanke oke odo while speaking to Royalfm Correspondent noted that men should identify with women in the society and also called for more empowerment programs for women in kwara State.

Meanwhile, women have been advised to venture into politics in order to be well represented at the political level and also to make a better Nigeria.

This was said by Mrs Onisemoh while speaking with Royal FM correspondent on the international women’s day today.

According to her, if Nigerian women ventures into politics Nigeria would be better because women have attribute of check and balances and that is what is needed in the country

She stated that most women don’t venture massively into politics because they feel it might be difficult for them to manage all of these side by side with their political positions and duties
