INEC announces Feb 18 for 2023 presidential election

The Chairman, Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, Mahmood Yakubu has announced the date for the 2023 presidential election.

In his goodwill message at the inauguration of the special adhoc committee on the review of the 1999 constitution, the INEC Chairman told members of the House of Representatives they are about 855 days left, which falls on Sat 18th 2023, for the next general elections.

The commission had in the last few months conducted three gubernatorial elections, ranging from Bayelsa, Edo and Ondo.
