Gunmen Abduct Imo Worshipper, Reverend Sister

A reverend sister and a woman were on Sunday morning kidnapped at various locations in Imo state.

The reverend sister, whose name could not be ascertained as of the time of filing this report, was reportedly abducted at Dim na nume Isu in the Nwangele Local Government Area of the state.

Our correspondent gathered that the reverend sister was driving in her car when the kidnappers waylaid her and forced her to stop.

An eyewitness said the kidnappers forced her into their car while one of them entered and drove her car behind.

The other woman that was kidnapped in a separate incident, Mrs Ikenna Onwusoroaka, was reportedly kidnapped in a church at Ohii community in the Owerri West LGA.

The incident which took place at St Philip’s Anglican Church, Ohii made worshippers to scamper for safety.

Bala Elkana, police spokesperson in the state, said, “The incidents have been reported.”
