Governor Ambode appoints new KAI boss

Governor Akinwumi Ambode, of Lagos State has approved the appointment of Mr. Amusat Jimoh as the new KAI Marshal General.Ambode

Jimoh, a retired Chief Superintendent of Police, was sworn in on Thursday by the Commissioner for Environment, Dr Babatunde Adejare, on behalf of the governor.

A statement by KAI on Thursday pointed out that Jimoh had served as the Divisional Police Officer of the Alausa and Anthony police stations.

Before now, he was the Head of Operations, Lion Building, Lagos State. The Commander, Mopol 33 Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, and the Unit Commander, Mopol 20, Ikeja.

According to the statement, “Jimoh would be the fourth KAI Marshal General. He succeeds Captain Danjuma Maigari (retd.), the immediate past KAI Marshal General.

“Also appointed to assist him were three Assistant KAI Marshal Generals.

“Mr. Dapo Thomas has been appointed as the Assistant KAI Marshal General for Lagos Central Senatorial District.

“Mr. Jacob Asogba is now the Assistant KAI Marshal General in charge of Lagos East Senatorial District, while Mr. Abdul Kabir has been appointed as Assistant KAI Marshal General in charge of Lagos West Senatorial District.”
