Governor Adeleke denies withdrawing five billion naira from Osun accounts

The Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has denied withdrawing 5 billion naira from the state’s account and awarding the reconstruction of the road leading to the Adeleke University in Ede.

In a statement by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed, released to journalists today, the governor said the allegations being peddled on social media was a false and product of malicious misinformation, and appealed to members of the public to ignore the rumour.

The statement added that the reconstruction of the said road is a project of the Federal Government to service the Federal Polytechnic, Ede and that it has been ongoing since the time of the past administration.
