Governor Abdulrazaq Presents Over One Hundred Billion Naira Revised Budget Estimate To Assembly

Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has presented One Hundred and Eighty Seven point Five billion naira Revised Budget Estimate to the House of Assembly today for consideration and passage.

This was contained in a message addressed to the Speaker, Engineer Yakubu Salihu and read before his colleagues during Tuesday plenary.

Governor Abdulrazaq said the revised appropriation will be placed on ongoing capital projects and consistent payment of the new minimum wage across board.

The Governor submitted that Fifty-Two point Three-Four percent of the revised budget will go for recurrent while capital expenditure will gulp the remaining Forty-Seven point Six-Six percent.

He noted that the revised estimate represents a shortfall of Two point Zero Eight billion naira of One point One percent from the approved 2022 budget of One Hundred and Eighty-Nine point Six billion naira.

Royal times reports that Engineer Yakubu Salihu therefore referred the Revised Budget Estimate to the House Committee on Appropriation for further legislative action.
