Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq thanks Kwarans , describes  victory as call to consolidate previous  gains

The Kwara state Governor Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq has dedicated his election victory to God and to the people of Kwara state in the north, south, and central saying they have shown once again that power resides with the people.

According to the governor is his message  posted on his verified social media handle , the  victory is truly humbling as it speaks to  people’s understanding of  history, their appreciation of the progress made between yesterday and today, and their commitment to a greater tomorrow.

He extended his profound appreciation  to all the stakeholders for the truly pan-Kwara mandate: young or old, men and women, traditional and religious institutions, civil servants, private sector players, thoughts leaders, political leaders, market men and women, artisans, the media, students, and young ones who energized communities with the sweet, creative chant of Maa se lo.

The governor concluded that the victory is a call to consolidate on and further spread the gains of the past three and half years and do much more for the people pledging to recommit himself to this.  He commended the peaceful conduct of the election, and especially congratulates the security agencies, the electoral umpire, and the political elites for jointly making Kwara polls the most peaceful in Nigeria.

Meanwhile in a short interview with Royal FM correspondent Olarotomi Oshin shortly after the Result declaration by the Independent National Electoral Commission, All Progressive Congress chairman (APC) in Kwara state Prince Sunday Fagbemi says the party is grateful to Nigerians and the good work continues. The Peoples Democratic Party in Kwara state says it will take a critical look at the results declared.
