The governor of Ghana’s central bank, Nashiru Issahaku, has resigned.
Nashiru Issahaku was appointed by former president John Mahama in April 2016. Mahama defeat in the presidential election in December created uncertainty over the governor’s position under the new government of President Nana Akufo-Addo.
