A fresh accident has occurred along the Otedola Bridge axis of Berger in Lagos this morning. This is coming barely 24 hours after a fuel-laden truck exploded around the same spot on Thursday. According to an eyewitness, a commercial bus, popularly called danfo, illegally took the one way route, on the other side of the road from the explosion accident, and crashed into a white Toyota Hiace bus.
Meanwhile, a tanker laden with kerosene product this morning exploded along Minna-Suleja road after engaging in a head-on collision with a trailer. The Unit Commander of the Federal Road Service Corps (FRSC) in Suleja, Mr Olayinka Akande, said the accident was caused by over speeding and overtaking. Although no life was lost, he noted that two out of the five persons involved in the accident sustained varying degrees of injuries and have been taken to the Suleja General Hospital for treatment.
