Forty -six migrants’ dead, sixteen injured in abandoned trailer in San Antonio

Amid soaring temperatures in Texas, about forty-six people are found dead and sixteen others injured after a tractor-trailer containing suspected migrants was abandoned in a remote area of San Antonio.

According to San Antonio Police Chief William McManus, a city worker discovered the gruesome scene after hearing a cry from the truck.

However, it was reported that the victims are suffering from heat stroke, heat exhaustion, adding that there were no signs of water or working air conditioning units on the semi-truck.

Giving details on the injured victims, the Fire Department Chief Charles Hood said the sixteen injured victims include twelve adults and four children. Meanwhile, three people have been taken into custody  as they were alleged to be  connected to the bad incident
