Former Future Eagles Striker Speaks On Disallowed Goal Against Marchamalo

Following his summer move to CD Tarancon, former Future Eagles striker Baaqi Abdulganiyu Adelayo made his second appearances for the Spanish side in their 2-1 win victory against CD Marchamalo over the weekend.

The Nigerian forward was introduced in the 61st minute, replacing Spanish defender Maldonado Nogueras Alvaro with his team still trailing 1-0.

José Garcia Cerro Miguel put the host ahead in minute 32 with a cool finish before Alberto Redondo equalized for the visitors in the 65th minute, while Jose Manuel Gonzalez scored the winning goal sixteen minutes to the end of the game.

With the victory, Tarancon stay top of the Tercera Division with six points from two games, while Marchamalo are fourteenth with zero point.

After the game, AbdulGaniyu expressed excitement with the result of the game, saying the team fought for the victory.

“I feel very happy with the result. They were better side in the first half, but the team showed better character in the second half.”

“Also, I was happy to help my time get the needed result as my introduction changed a lot for the team.

After the introduction, the young striker scored for the visitors but the referee disallowed the goal, a decision he is pleased with.

Speaking on the disallowed goal, Baaqi said, “I felt bad but it was the referee decision we have more matches which I believe goals will come.

Before his move to Eurpoe, the youngster was called to the camp of the Future Eagles but could not get his chance to play for the side.
