The second floor of the Defence Headquarters in Abuja has been gutted by fire.
The cause of the fire outbreak which occurred hours ago was yet to be ascertained as of the time of filing this report.
But in his reaction, the Director, Defence Information, Major. General. Jimmy Akpor, who confirmed the incident explained that the situation had been brought under control.
He said the situation was brought under control by the combined efforts of the military and Federal Fire Service personnel.
All personnel and civilian staff were also evacuated without injury or loss of life.
