The Federal Government has said that no Nigerian died during the August twentieth protest by Ghanaians over an alleged stabbing of a Ghanaian man by a Nigerian in Accra Region on the eighteenth of August.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs today, the reports which claimed that five Nigerians were killed the protest is not true. The ministry however said that some Nigerians sustained injuries and properties were damaged.
The ministry urged Nigerians to be law abiding and should desist from actions that would tarnish the image of the country. The ministry gave the assurance that Nigeria would continue to cooperate with the Ghanaian authorities.
