Federal Government approves implementation of  NIN-SIM Policy

Federal Government has approved the implementation of the NIN-SIM Policy and directed telecommunication companies,  to bar all outgoing calls from unlinked Subscriber Identification Module cards, SIMs.

In a statement signed by the Minister of Communication and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, the Federal Government said the machinery to ensure compliance by citizens and legal residents has been put in place.

The statement informed that President Buhari has approved the implementation of the Policy with effect from the 4th of April, 2022 and directed all telecommunication companies to strictly enforce the Policy on all SIMs issued in Nigeria.
