Famous British football commentator John Motson dies at 77   

Famous British football commentator John Motson is dead. His family announced his death on Thursday. Motson died at the age of 77.

The late football commentary legend had a distinguished 50-year career with the BBC.

Nicknamed “Motty,” Motson retired in 2018 after covering 29 FA Cup finals and 10 World Cups. Tributes have continued to pour in for the late British football commentator.
