With few days left to conduct the 2023 election, an Islamic Cleric, Sheikh Abdullahi Berende has urged the citizens to express their thoughts and seek reformation of the country.
Sheikh Abdullahi Berende who stated this on Sunday in Ilorin ,Kwara state capital noted that silence is suicidal even as he urged the citizens to emulate Islamic Scholar, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky and his wife, Zeenah Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, who preached the reform of the system in Nigeria.
Bearing out his thoughts at the launching of a book authored by Zeenah Ibrahim and titled A Trail of Sacrifice, a brief history of the Islamic Movement In Nigeria, Sheikh Abdullahi Berende described Sheikh El-Zakzaky as a man interested in the reform of Nigeria in his own way.
Sheikh Abdullahi Berende added that Zeenah El-Zakzaky wrote the book in prison to narrate what has transpired between the El-Zakzaky’s and the federal government.
