Defamation: ENetSud Drags Kwara Governor Aides To Court, Seek Multi-Million Naira Damages, Other Reliefs

Elites Network for Sustainable Development (ENetSuD) and its Coordinator Dr. Alagbonsi Abdullateef have jointly dragged the duo of Olayinka Fafoluyi (Solace) and Bode Towoju to a Kwara State High Court over alleged defamation of character.

Solace is the Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor of Kwara State while Bode Towoju is the Commissioner for Information and Communications in Kwara State.

Both of them were said to have falsely, maliciously, recklessly, and conspicuously reportedly  defamed ENetSuD and its Coordinator on a live program aired on Kwara TV.

The duo were said to have gone  further to purport that the organization and its Coordinator are involved in activities that cause political unrest in the state, just like a proscribed group (IPOB) led by one Nnamdi Kanu that is facing trial by the Federal Government related to a treasonable felony.

They also falsely alleged the organization and its Coordinator of corrupt practices, which has questioned the integrity of the organization that is fighting and campaigning against corruption in the state.

In the suit, ENetSuD and its Coordinator are requesting multi-million naira damages, in addition to other reliefs sought from the Court. The case has been assigned to Justice Gafar and it is scheduled to come up on 21st November 2022.
