Fourty-nine years after its creation, the Kwara State Polytechnic is moving its Engineering and applied sciences complex, Institute of Technology, IOT, to the school’s permanent site in Araa, a suburb in Ilorin, the state capital.
This was disclosed by Dr Engnr Abdul Jimoh Mohammed, rector of the polytechnic as part of his media briefing to mark the 28th Convocation Ceremony of the polytechnic where 7, 781 students where graduated from both its HND and OND programs.
According to the rector, the briefing was meant to usher in the 28 Convocation Ceremony of the Polytechnic holding between Tuesday, 18th and Thursday, 20th October, 2022 and also to is to intimate the public of recent development in the school.
Within the 2021/2022 period under review Dr Mohammed said it faced challenges and made some remarkable achievements.
