Combination of Music and other businesses make us wealthy not just music, says D’banj

Singer D’ banj has said music is not enough to sustain the lifestyle musicians crave.

The Koko master crooner, who recently revealed his reason for veering into luxury designer perfume brands, noted it resonates with him as a person of style.

“When it comes to lifestyle, you dress how you wanna be addressed. I am a definition of fashion and definition of lifestyle. And that’s what I bring in. And I’ve used so many perfumes in the past.

“And when I had the opportunity, I was reached out to by my partners in Dubai, I had to take the opportunity. I told the perfume specialist that I wanna smell rich, like D’banj.”

The father of two explained global music stars attained wealth, not through music but other businesses.

He said: “I tell people this, music brings you into the room but what you do in that room is entirely up to you.
