The chairman of the church leaders and ministers fellowship, pastor Abel ayedogbon has expressed disappointment over the allegation of abandonment of duties as head of Apex court and diversion of funds brought on the out gone chief justice of Nigeria , Justice Tanko Muhammed by fourteen supreme court justice.
Speaking with journalist in Ilorin, Ayedogbon called for the complete overhauling of the federal and all states judiciary system, noting that the management of the courts in Nigeria deserves more attention.
According to him, the judiciary is to protect rule of law, ensure supremacy of law , safeguards right of the individual , settle dispute in accordance with the law among others .
He however aligned the position of the church leaders and ministers fellowship with that of the president of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) , Tayo Akpata who said there is urgent need for fundamental reform of the administration and governance of the judiciary.
He however called for financial autonomy for the judiciary which he said has been on the table for a long period of time .
