Ahead of Children’s Day celebration, which is usually celebrated on 27th of May, parents have been urged to watch over their children by monitoring their activities and routines on a daily basis.
Speaking during the sermon at the English chapel of Cherubim And Seraphim church in Ilorin, Mrs Bukola Akanni advised parents to train their children in the way of the lord.
While a member of the church, Mrs. Rachael Taiwo beseech parents to be a good role model to their children and adopt a flexible parenting style that will enable their children to be able to communicate effectively with them.
“Ahead of the forthcoming children they coming up this week. My advice to parents is that they should love their children, not just their children, but extend the love to other children outside there. They should also live in harmony and Unity so that their children will emulate that and live in unity with other children outside.”
“Parents should be flexible enough to listen to their children, they should not be rigid. When they’re flexible, their children will be able to come to them and speak their mind to them, And be a very good role model to their children.’’
